Who is a
Good Candidate?

Any healthy individual with 30% of an ideal weight, firm muscle tone, and elastic skin can go for liposuction. You should be healthy with no diagnosed or underlying health issues. Assessment

The NexGen team starts the liposuction procedure by discussing the entire process with the patient. We will answer all your questions so that you go into the surgery with a calm mind. You will be administered anesthesia or medications during the surgery for comfort.

Incisions

The surgeon then marks the targeted fat area to make small incisions at the right places. They identify such regions based on your assessment results.

Loosening and Suctioning Excess Fat

After making the cuts, the doctor first injects local anesthesia into the patient for less risk of bleeding or trauma. The cannula is then inserted through the incisions to make the fat cells loosen up, which is then suctioned from the body through a vacuum on the cannula. This process continues till the desired results are achieved. Since this process is outpatient, the body contour becomes apparent instantly.

Post-Surgery Care

The liposuction surgery leaves visible swelling in the patient post-surgery. The doctor suggests wearing elastic bandages or compression garments around the treated areas to manage swelling. They will also guide you about caring for the small temporary drains beneath your skin. You will have to remove excess fluid or blood from these areas. You will also be given medications to promote healing and minimize the risks.

Recovery

After liposuction, a patient needs several months to recover from the swelling completely. Once it starts to fade away, you can easily see your newly-achieved contours with an enhanced appearance. Stay in touch with your surgeon and show up on the appointment days!

It is also more effective and safer with a relatively shorter recovery period. In fact, the surgeon doesn’t even use general anesthesia in this process.

Is liposuction surgery painful?

All types of liposuction surgery are generally performed under anesthesia, so they aren’t painful at all. However, you may feel pain and swelling post-surgery.

How long does liposuction take?

Does liposuction leave scars?
