Procedure Process
and Recovery

Assessment

The breast enhancement procedure starts with the surgeon assessing the patient’s breast to understand its anatomy and aesthetical requirements. Based on the results, they develop a treatment plan that treats the issue and enhances the overall appearance of the breast to make the patient satisfied with how they look.

Incisions

The procedure starts with putting the patient under anesthesia. Afterward, the surgeon makes an incision beside or under the breast to place the implant. The exact location of the implant varies from person to person, but it’s usually between the chest muscle and breast tissue or behind the chest. Alternatively, you may need a fat transfer for breast lifting surgery. So, the doctor will make the incisions under the breast or on the chest, depending on your requirements.

Treatment

The treatment plan varies with the patient’s requirements. The surgeon inserts the implant underneath your breast tissues, transfers the fat, or removes excess skin from your chest to reach your aesthetic goals. The surgery ends with the doctor stitching the incision and sealing it with a dressing.

Post-Surgery Care

Breast enhancement procedures take between 1 to 1.5 hours to complete. The doctor may allow you to go home a few hours after the process, but some may require you to spend the night. You will also be given pain relief medicines to relieve post-surgery discomfort and fasten your recovery.

Recovery

You may also have to wear a sports bra all the time for the next 3 months of breast surgery.
