Incisions

The surgeon will then make a small incision inside your cheeks on both sides. It will let him access the buccal fat easily.

Removing the Fat Pads

After making the incision, Dr. Yamini will gently press the fat pads to expose them for the procedure. Then, he will cut and remove them from your cheeks, depending on your requirements. Once done, the incisions will be closed with dissolvable sutures, so you won’t have to return to the clinic for their removal.

Post-Surgery Care

Your doctor will give you a post-surgery care plan to help you recover faster from the surgery. You must avoid foods that require chewing and mostly stay on a liquid diet for some days or weeks. The surgeon will also recommend you special mouthwashes to prevent the infection risk. They will also guide you about taking care of the surgical site and applying medications to them.

Recovery
